Received txt yesterday asking to meet up again? for some fun. Laughed when I first saw it as thought it was wrong number so showed it to my wife-she was none too pleased. Told her wasn't for me & must be a wrong number. She believed me but she was a bit offish for most of the evening. Never played around before & never will. friday 22.1.21 16.07 received a call from a female stating she was from HM..something she had my name and she wanted to speak to me (my name is on voters register) and asked it was convenient regarding vaccination and therefore asked me my date of birth. The number showed as unknown she did not provide her name. I said I was not interested so she quickly said thank you and hanged up.

Very plausible approach offering advice / equipment and a phone number to
contact if calls persist - all sounds authentic till they start to talk about a small charge of £1.36 a month for 3 years which can be paid upfront as £49 at which point they want card details
I cut them off at that point but they had answered all my queries about the source of their information etc up till then
They quote a number of 08451297936 as their contact which when you google it throws up all the usual info - another con you need to be aware of especially if like us you suffer from these unwanted calls

Relates to government legislation on checking out the latest tariffs for energy - there is no such government legislation. The call will lead to a comparison service (probably based in Asia), who will try to sell you an energy tariff from a new supplier.
The best answer, as always, ignore the call; and if you do want to change supplier 'do your own research'.
