04/07/2020	These scammers will contacting you claiming to be from a Sheriff's office - in my case the Sheriff of Mid Glamorgan. They will use public information on a debt you may or may not owe to claim they have the power to enter your home and seize your assets. They have no such power of entry - tell them to go away and if they persist phone the police on 999 and report them for debt harassment in progress that is causing you distress. If you receive a communication from them, the chances are someone has got a court order against you without you knowing and if you do not owe the debt these scammers will helpfully provide the warrant number and the court the warrant was issued from and who the warrant is in the name of. You can then use HMCTS form number N245 to have that warrant set aside. If you are on benefits or a low income type Help With Fees into a search engine and you can complete the Gov.UK form and not have to pay a fee to submit this form to the court. Scam call Nuisance
